Halloween Events in Destin and on 30A  

October is a spooktacular month along the Emerald Coast! Whether you want a frightful experience or family-friendly trick-or-treating, there’s no shortage of things to do for Halloween in Destin and on 30A. These eerie events are sure to get you into the Halloween spirit. 

Halloween Horror at Big Kahuna’s 

Scare up some fun every weekend in October at Big Kahuna’s Water & Adventure Park.  Halloween Horror , the biggest fright experience ever in Destin, boasts three unique scare zones, two terrifying haunted attractions and darkened thrill rides. Make your way through the house of mirrors complete with creepy clowns at Carn-Evil or step into the fog of the Headless Hollow where bizarre sights and sudden screams await. Halloween in Destin has never been more thrilling!

When you need a break from the horrors, stop by Club Blood where you can snack on terrifying treats, such as BBQ Zombie Brains, Spooky Nachos, Bloody Mummy Fingers and more. We promise they taste better than they sound. Thirsty? Try the Blood or Plazma Bags, which are actually frozen daiquiris. Cheers to a ghostly good time! 

Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade at Alys Beach 

Bring your four legged friends to the Amphitheatre at Alys Beach on October 18 for the annual Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade and Pumpkin Drop benefiting Alaqua Animal Refuge. Don’t forget to dress up in your bewitching best because a prize will be awarded for Best Owner Dog Duo. Halloween on 30A isn’t complete without your pup being a part of the fun! They will also drop a giant pumpkin filled with sweet treats for the kids. 

Halloween Haunt at Destin Commons 

Enjoy a frightfully fun evening for the whole family at Destin Commons on October 25 from 6pm – 8pm.  Halloween Haunt will feature creepy crafts, fantasy face painting and a costume contest. After the contest, kids can go trick-or-treating at participating stores throughout the shopping center. This event provides kids with a safe, friendly environment to celebrate Halloween in Destin. 

McGuire’s of Destin Halloween Run 

Get ready for a ghoulishly good time at McGuire’s Irish Pub of Destin ’s 23 rd Annual Halloween 5K and 10K on Saturday, October 26 at 9am. Fuel up for your run or walk with a free pre-race breakfast, then make your way to the starting line. Participants will begin at McGuire’s and run on tree-lined streets along Choctawhatchee Bay, making their way back to the pub. After you cross the finish line, unwind at the post-race party with live entertainment, Irish fare, Irish Wakes and Irish Ale! 

PumpkinPalooza at HarborWalk Village

Halloween in Destin doesn’t just last one day. PumpkinPalooza at HarborWalk Village is a weekend-long event that starts with a classic Halloween movie on Friday, October 25. Bring the whole family to  Friday Night Frights where The Nightmare Before Christmas will be showing on the HarborWalk Main Stage at 7pm. 

On Saturday, October 26, it’s time for the adults to have some fun at the  Booze and Boo’s Bingo Pub Crawl . This bingo-style pub crawl features craft cocktails and festive food from Village restaurants, live music by Tyler Livingston and a costume contest. Complete a Bingo Row and turn your card in by 9:30pm for a chance to win a raffle prize! 

For more family fun, stop by Spook Street from 5pm to 9pm on Sunday, October 27. Celebrate Halloween on the Harbor with a scavenger hunt, costume contest and free kid’s activities. Plus they can visit each shop and restaurant for a treat. At 8:30pm, the evening ends with a boo-ming fireworks display over the water. 

Seaside Halloweener Derby 

The 10 th Annual Halloweener Derby takes place on October 26 from 10am – 2pm at Seaside Amphitheater. All proceeds from this hilarious event benefit H.E.A.R.T. Animal Rescue, so bring your furry friends for a fun Halloween on 30A! For the derby, dogs must be dachshunds, but the costume contest is open to all breeds. 

Halloween Dinner Cruise Aboard the Solaris   

There are no tricks, just treats aboard the Solaris Halloween Dinner Cruise . The stunning yacht boasts three decks, a full-service bar and gorgeous views of the Choctawhatchee Bay. Guests will enjoy a festive Halloween evening filled with live music, a chef-prepared meal and a costume content.

Bring your costume-clad family (dogs included!) to Halloween on the BOOlevard at Grand Boulevard on October 31. This exciting event is free and open to the public. Kids can go trick-or-treating at participating stores throughout Grand Boulevard. 

Red Fish Taco Halloween Bash with Forrest Williams Band 

Taco ‘bout a fun Halloween on 30A! The  Red Fish Taco Halloween Bash starts at 7pm on October 31 and features live music from Forrest Williams Band. This family-friendly eatery in Blue Mountain Beach serves fresh gulf seafood tacos, housemade salsa, a vast array of tequila and more. 

Witches of South Walton Charity Ride & Brunch 

Halloween on 30A starts early! The 16 th Annual Witches of South Walton Charity Bike Ride takes place at 7am on October 31. Decorate your bike, put on your witch costume and fly down Scenic Hwy 30A from Gulf Place to Stinky’s Bait Shack, and then back to Shunk Gulley Oyster Bar for brunch and cackles. Benefiting Children’s Volunteer Health Network, this event is guaranteed to be a wicked good time!
