The Blackwater River is the ONLY pristine sand river left in the United States. Blackwater Canoe offers a complete round trip service. They meet you at the end point of the river trip, park you, transport you upstream to the launch point. Toward the end of your trip you will encounter the Blackwater State Park. It offers large pavilions, restrooms and outdoor showers. You will end your trip back at your car. Simply beach your canoe, tube, or kayak . The time it takes you to complete your trip depends on how long your stops are on the beaches, and how fast you paddle. Once on the stream, the canoe or kayak is yours for the rest of the day. 3. Florida Caverns State Park
3345 Caverns Rd, Marianna, FL 32446
(850) 482-9598
This is one of the few state parks with dry (air-filled) caves and is the only state park in Florida to offer cave tours to the public. The Florida Cavern has dazzling formations of limestone stalactites, stalagmites, soda straws, flowstones and draperies. A great place to go if you want to get away from the sandy beach and/or hot temperatures. Underground caverns! It’s a great place to see some of the Earth’s natural wonders. We don’t want to give away the finale, but it’s breathtaking. Many locals spend time here in the caverns or in the creek canoeing. It’s a great place for the family to spend the day. Great Experience guaranteed!
