The first floor of the home welcomes guests with comfort and personality. The details of the vaulted dining space make the room bright with Florida sunshine, and the unique wood floors offer a warm change from the norm. Then you make your way to the over-the-top screened porch and there you have it – you’re on beach time and may not go back to normal!

Guests can enjoy first floor accommodations with a guest bedroom and adjacent bathroom or an additional master suite. Where the guests are on the first floor, the master bedroom is dedicated to the entire second floor! Charm and privacy continue with the master bedroom. The entry to the master bedroom is a separate sitting room open to the first floor. There is a full bathroom and standing shower as well. I highly recommend this beautiful home. The pictures are very accurate. This is a wonderfully decorated home on a very private lot. The screened-in porch faces talk magnolia trees and pine trees. We happened to have a little rain one morning while we were there and the smell was so nice. The kitchen, bedrooms and living spaces were so nice. My favorite spot was the upstairs bedroom with another living room space. It had books and games to play if you find yourself inside due to rain. It is conveniently located to great area restaurants too. Please check this one out. You will not be sorry.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The home was cozy and tucked in at the end of the street against a green belt, so it felt very peaceful and quiet. The kitchen was very well stocked and they even provided beach chairs and toys. We definitely hope to visit again!

Very cozy and relaxing. This home was a bit dated in its decor, but it was also cozy because it felt like you were visiting your grandmas house. The home comes fully stocked in the kitchen and has everything you would need in your own home to live comfortable. The house was cozy and clean and the lot is so cool in the trees, not like your typical beach house. The walk is a little far for older guests, but I am young and love walking so it wasn't bad for me. There is no golf cart with this property and I think if they added one that would be very beneficial.

I loved staying here so much that I cried when we left. My family and I stayed here for two weeks while I was in town for work and the house was so cozy that it began to feel like home. It is definitely out of the hubbub of 30A so if you are looking for that this house is not for you. We enjoyed quiet evenings on the porch - the view is incredible. The beds are comfy, the bathrooms are great, the couch is amazing and the outdoor furniture is perfect. The WiFi is great and the little office is great for work. I definitely recommend this house and will come again for sure.

Peaceful retreat

Just returned from a 3 week stay. We love 30A. It was conveniently located to all 30A has to offer with easy access to 98. The beach access is an easy walk or drive. The best part was the quiet refuge of the beautiful shaded and peaceful porch to escape the bustle of 30A. The house had everything we needed, fully furnished kitchen, comfortable bed. Owner is helpful and responsive. Highly recommend. You won’t be sorry.

Mermaids was the perfect beach cottage! Plenty of room! Clean, beautiful, relaxing. Close to the beach if you want some fun in the sun, and the perfect porch if you want to stay home and read! We will definitely stay again!

Spotless clean, updated cottage with an eclectic decorating style. We felt at home as soon as we entered the home. Three bathrooms & 3 bedrooms with a loft area for daily exercise & overnight sleeping.....we loved this secluded rental that was walking distance from the beach! Another added benefit, we did not have to worry about golf carts and family biking on the heavily traveled 30A.....we will rent this property again!

We've never been to Santa Rosa for a stay but have been to Santa Rosa many times. The location is very peaceful and much more different from the other side of Destin. We were very close to the beach which was a plus. And because of the time of year, the town wasn't crowded. The home was very big and spacious for two couples. We spent a lot of time there cooking, eating and playing a number of games. Would highly recommend.

This house is in a great location for the beach and restaurants. But it is also very secluded at the end of a dead end street. The screened in porch is perfect, facing a forest, very peaceful. The management company was very helpful with any needs we had. It was a fantastic experience.

Our family of four along with a couple of our teenagers' friends stayed at Mermaids and Magnolias for the kids' spring break. The house is beautiful and comfortable and the location is unbeatable. It is in a quiet neighborhood but an easy walk to the beach and restaurants. We will definitely be back!

This was a wonderful home to stay in with my 2 girlfriends from high school! This home is very roomy and spacious, comfortable and clean! We loved being on the dead end street with the quiet porch to sit on and have our morning coffee! A simple walk to the beach and the public beach area is very nice with great accommodations! Several shops, restaurants are close by for convenience too! Highly recommend this home and hope to get back soon!

The property is the last house on a dead end street. The screened-in patio backs up to several large pines and magnolias and is furnished with a grill and multiple sitting options. We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the patio. The kitchen has plenty of cookware, plates, etc. and allowed us to do most of our meals from home. The three bedrooms comfortably fit our family of 6. The bathrooms had plenty of towels and were adequate to meet our needs for the week. Our favorite part of the house was the upstairs loft. We enjoyed reading, exercising, and hanging out in that space. The house comes with some basics that you'd want to take to the beach--umbrellas, chairs, and an ice chest, as well as a cart to pull it all. It was about a half mile walk from the front door to the water, so really not bad at all. The street was quiet and our stay was quite relaxing. We were very pleased with the home and hope to return again someday.

Lovely Beach House

The home was extremely clean on arrival. Very charming wrap around porch. We had an enjoyable stay and found a handful of fun games around the house (chess, monopoly, backgammon) which was great to play in our downtime. The beach was a convenient walk down the street as well as local restaurants and eateries. All in all we had a wonderful stay. Highly recommend, the home will not disappoint!

We have friends who own a home in this neighborhood so we try to always stay nearby. Great rental home for our small group of adults (all queen/king beds, multiple bathrooms). House was very clean upon arrival and had most kitchen amenities you would need. My only complaint was that the cleaning staff was still cleaning when I arrived for check-in at 4pm. Likely a result of busy Spring Break traffic - just wish that I had been notified that they were running late instead of just showing up expecting to get in the house.

What a wonderful rental. This beautiful home is tucked away in the woods. It has everything you need. It’s spacious , clean and a short bike ride to the beach. The screened in porch is so relaxing, especially when it rains on the tin roof. We even had a fawn that visited us everyday. We’ll be back!

Property description accurate. A little further from beach then we thought. Property was very clean and well maintained. Layout exactly like pics. Rental agency provided great customer service. Would defn. recommend. Need golf cart transportation because public beach access was too small/crowded to find adequate parking. Would recommend to friends and family. Would stay again. Enjoyed eating/shopping at Seaside/Pickles, Shunk Gulley Oyster House,Beach, Destin Commons, Gulf Place very close to house nice for eating/shopping.

Mermaids & Magnolias was very clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The only negative aspects of our trip were that the nearest beach access was under construction, so we had to walk a little farther to get to the beach, and 30A toward Seaside was also closed for construction and caused a longer drive to reach some of our activities and restaurants. But, overall, we loved the home and enjoyed our holiday.

We absolutely loved staying at Mermaids and Magnolias!! It had everything we needed to feel comfortable on our vacay. The decor was so beautifully done. We instantly felt at home! The couch was so comfortable we almost couldn’t get our teenagers off it. I’d loved to know what brand it is !!!!!I forgot my book at home, and was so happy that I found a bookcase full of books and magazines. We loved reading out on the screened in porch. It’s so close to the beach and is on a quiet street. If we our in Santa Rosa again we would definitely want to stay again.
