Easy vacation rental experience. Everything about the property description was accurate. The property is very clean, well maintained, and excellent customer service was provided. We enjoyed walks on the beautiful beach and riding the golf cart included with this property. Dewey Destin’s and McGuire’s are two of our favorite places to eat.

Overall a fantastic stay and very much enjoyed the accommodations. The view is amazing and the unit was clean and spacious. The Westwinds property is outstanding and among our favorites around the resort. As mentioned in other reviews the master bed is extremely hard so we ended up sleeping in the guest bed all week. The kitchen has all the basic needs but the supplies could use some basic updating.Thank you My Vacation Haven for another wonderful week at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.

Our family has always loved the Westwinds complex and we have been coming for three years now. It’s the most perfect place for families with children. This condo was a little high as far as heights go, but the views were incredible! The master bed is very hard and in fact we ended up sleeping in the spare bedroom the last night. the kitchen could use some more/updated supplies but otherwise it was great. The property was clean and the Westwinds complex is always immaculate. The golf cart was a fantastic extra feature. The kids loved riding at night to go to the Dunes for ice cream or over to the marina to watch the boats or to Baytowne for all the great activities. Location location location. We will see you next year Westwinds!

We enjoyed our stay as we always do since we started coming to Westwinds several years ago. Unit was great. Good customer service. The only thing we had concern with is that there are always babies with diapers in the big pool. Even though it clearly states on the sign: No Diapered children in Pool" It gets completely ignored, The pool monitor lady never says a word to them but she sure does go after an adult with a drink at pool side. Swimming diapers DO NOT prevent feces/diarreah from leaking into the pool and putting others at risk for e-coli, At any given time, there were one to five babies in the pool. It can turn in to a health issue to other guests if a baby diaper leaks. The CDC states they are not leak proof. Several guests were mentioning this. Again, we love Westwinds and will always come back but this may be something you all want to address at some point . A few more umbrellas would help as well.

My wife and I try to stay at the Westwinds about every 6 months. As always it never disappoints. This time my parents joined us since they had never been to that part of the Gulf and they were blown away. The Westwinds is the perfect location with the perfect white powdery sand beaches and breathtaking views. The unit itself had all your basic kitchen utensils although we typically go out for dinner every night, you would have everything you need to stay in. The unit had the normal rental property paint touch up spots but was very clean. The golf cart is the perfect added touch for cruising and exploring the resort. The only negative thing I can say is the master bedroom mattress was extremely hard but when you spend the day in the sun and out in the evenings you will still be able to sleep. My wife and I try to stay at different units when we come in but we would definitely stay at this unit again. We’ll be back again soon!

This is a great condo! We ended up spending A LOT of time in it because a hurricane came. It is clean and well kept. Beds are comfortable. Nice comfortable furniture. The kitchen has basic appliances and dishware. I would recommend bringing a few things with you- paper towels (there was only one roll), laundry detergent (there was one pack for one load), and a few trash bags (there was only one). Each bathroom had two rolls of toilet paper, hand soap, a blow dryer, and a small shampoo and conditioner and body soap. Plenty of bath towels. The condo had several beach chairs, an umbrella, and some beach toys. Don’t forget to bring your own beach towel. You can also rent beach chairs and an umbrella from the little yellow beach shack right when you step foot on the beach. The pool is wonderful! There’s a little poolside restaurant for food and drinks.

Our trip to Sandestin was awesome! We had to escape all of the negativity in the news and this condo did it. Westwinds is right on the beach, right in the middle of all of the good times. The people we met were all in high spirits. Condo was clean with a great view. The golf cart made getting around so easy. Will definitely come again. My Vacation Haven did a great job with communication and they checked up on us during our stay to make sure we were enjoying ourselves.

This unit is very nice with a great view of the Gulf and plenty of sunshine on the balcony. It has all the things you need and it is very clean. The golf cart is a nice plus. You can use it to go to Publix or a number of restaurants in the Hilton resort complex. The only negative that I have is the living room furniture isn’t very comfortable. It could use an ottoman or a recliner. Also my vacation haven has always been great to book through. We booked this unit two years in a row in October and have been very pleased.

The pool was never busy which was great for our kids to enjoy. Loved having a golf cart to explore the surrounding area.
Little disappointed with the view, the main picture of the beach is not what you see. This is a corner unit, set back of the front of the building so you see a side of the beach.
Condo was clean, but seems like it was updated a long time ago. Scratches on stuff and dingy grout, etc. Wish the balcony would be swept off.
All in all, it was a great stay!

We had a great two weeks stay at the Westwinds. Having the golf cart was a nice addition for getting around. The unit had a great view of the golf and sunset from the balcony, it had everything we needed for our stay except for the grocery items. It is a well layed out unit with appropriate furnishings and very comfortable king beds. The sun hit the patio around noon and stayed there until sunset. We even got to see the Blue Angels fly by over the beach from the patio. I would highly recommend this unit and Westwinds as well as My Vacation Haven. Although we had a few minor items like a blocked shower drain and flapper in the toilet sticking open they were addressed by My Vacation Haven in a very reasonable time frame. This is our fourth year staying at the Westwinds and booking through My Vacation Haven and we have been very pleased with the facility and My Vacation Haven.

We really enjoyed renting at Westwinds. We have rented 2-3 bedrooms there in previous years and the views are always spectacular. First time we have gone in July and saw Dolphins playing out front of property this time. Property is clean and staff is friendly. My only complaint is that I wish they provided more amenities in each condo.

Few maintenance issues need to be addressed - master shower is not draining, master toilet handle sticks, guest bathroom door lock got stuck but maintenance responded quickly; all room door handles are squeaky and need to be oiled, master bath needs another towel bar and receptacle on second sink, as well as other towel hooks on the back of the door, etc.; golf cart brakes do not work well and had to apply parking brake to stop; there were no luggage carts to be found on day of checkout, over a period of 16+ hours, making checkout extremely difficult having to carry everything down - need to supply many more carts to accomodate large number of guests checking out on Sats and Suns

Sandestin does not disappoint. We had a great spring break. Have stayed in Westwinds before an would stay again. The kitchen could use a few more cooking utensils an maybe a little updating on the bed linens. And the security guard by the pool seemed a bit grumpy. Overall tho we had an enjoyable vacation an will definitely be back. The beaches of Destin are the best!!!

We had a wonderful week with family in this beachfront condo! Both bedrooms have king-size beds and great ocean views! Our toddlers really enjoyed the kiddie pool. We hope to come back next year for another visit!

Loved it! Just as described! The beds were a little firm, however, that's the way some people like them. There are absolutely no spices (salt, pepper, etc.) in the condo - need to bring all your own supplies which was not a big deal for us we just made up a grocery list and took a trip to Walmart. The toilets in the guest room and the bathroom off the dining room needed a little TLC - they were not dirty from use but more like lack of. Everything else was nice and clean, loved the view off the balcony and the patio furniture was comfortable. It was a very nice place and we would stay in this condo again. By the way we rode in the elevator with a very special guest that was staying on the 21st floor - was so star struck ��

Vacation Haven great to work with, but would prefer they show all the added fees up front instead after I book. Their cleaning crew did a better than average job and at least I didn't feel the need to wash everything before we used it. Was disappointing that the pool was not filled and in working condition. Would have appreciated a notice about this since everything else was online. I would definitely use Vacation Haven again. Staff was friendly, available, and prompt in helping us with any questions we had.

I will be looking into this issue to ensure that other guests do not feel the same! We are lucky to have such a great cleaning crew and, unfortunately, our maintenance is pretty great as well which is how your dates of stay interfered with pool maintenance.
