Crystal Beach Vacation Rental

Crystal Beach is Centrally located in Destin where you are literally just minutes away from Anything you need or want. Destin is a great spot for fun in the sun. From the beautiful white sandy beaches to the boats and dolphins, there is always something to do.

There is a very popular sandbar next to the bridge from Okaloosa Island to Destin where hundreds of boats stop in the summer and people swim. It’s a huge floating party. It is really crowded during summer season. It’s called Crab Island! Make sure to check it out!
One of my favorite things to do on the beach is to have a picnic! I like going to the beach on Okaloosa Island — it’s more secluded and less crowded than other beaches in the area. it’s so relaxing to eat some yummy sandwiches and watch the waves on the beach. I especially enjoy to picnic during spring or fall when it’s not as hot outside.
There are a lot of great places to snorkel here as well! The easiest and most enjoyable way to snorkel is to go on a snorkeling boat trip. There are many places that offer these, such as A.J.’s. It’s a great activity not only for adults, but for kids as well. If you want to go snorkeling on your own, a good place for it is near the Destin jetties on Holiday Isle. You can easily walk to the beach from there. In fact, most snorkeling boats make regular stops near the jetties!
Make sure that you take a couple long walks on the beach. It’s especially beautiful around sunset (and I’m sure it’s equally beautiful around sunrise, although I’m never up early to see it!). My husband and I usually by some wine and take long walks on the beach. The most romantic and almost free time spending! I also like to take a book and read on the beach until the sun goes down. It’s very peaceful and relaxing.
Although Destin offers vacationers a variety of activities, some of the most fun are found on the beach! Making sand castles, collecting shells, burying people in sand, all of these are great fun. You can pick up shovels and other sand toys at any souvenir shop in the area (The Palace, Alvin’s Island, etc), not to mention Target and Walmart. You can also buy inflatable rafts, floats, noodles, and body boards to play with in the water. Remember to put on sunscreen (especially on cloudy days!) and have fun!
  6. KAYAKING (Make sure to get your discounted rate)
There are several places to rent kayaks. The Kayak Experience is located right on the Destin Harbor (on Hwy 98) and offers kayak rental and sales. Kayaking is a fun activity and a great workout!
The best places to surf are: on Okaloosa Island, right before the Destin bridge (ocean side, of course), and in front of the Boardwalk. If you don’t have your own board, or need lessons, there are plenty of surf shops in Destin. In addition, most also offer kitesailing lessons and equipment.
This area claims to be the “World’s Luckiest Fishing Village” and for good reason. The access to deep water and the plentiful fish population make it an angler’s dream. Take your pick from well over 100 charter fishing boats and try your luck at Emerald Coast waters.
There is no shortage of shops, restaurants, and attractions here. Destin Commons and Grand Boulevard are popular shopping centers in town with national retailers and unique shops, Silver Sands Factory Stores is absolutely HUGE . . . 119 stores . . . Opens at 10AM, 7 days a week . . . It is hilarious to watch a mommy van full of women file out and march up to their starting point . . . Women on a mission!
For water activities, make sure to try out Southern Star Dolphin Cruise which gives dolphin and sunset cruises on the Gulf’s largest speedboat (make sure to get our discounted rate).

Just remember whatever you decide to do make sure to Follow your passions to the Heart of Florida’s Emerald Coast! There are no two sunsets are exactly alike, and neither are any two days. Along with award-winning beaches, you’ll find several world-class attractions and family entertainment complexes here. You can get wild at the zoo, splash around at a water park, or interact with locals at Destin Bar or Pub. Or you can discover the culture and rich history of the area at one of five museums. There are lots of ways to go Emerald Coasting while staying in Crystal Beach… I hope you enjoy it!
