The Food Film Festival Comes to the Emerald Coast this April!

Food Film Festival

We are so excited to welcome a brand new festival called The Food Film Festival™ to the Emerald Coast this upcoming spring!

The Local Palate and The Food Film Festival™ are partnering to bring the best of food and film to the towns and beaches along the Emerald Coast and Scenic Highway 30A between April 8-10, 2016! The idea is to allow attendees to screen the best of today’s food documentaries while tasting the dishes they encounter onscreen. It is supposed to create an amazing multi-sensational experience for all guests.

The three-day festival includes food films from award-winning artists, distinct meals prepared by the South’s best chefs, and various events celebrating the food, art, and culture of the Emerald Coast and the surrounding areas. Event talent includes renowned chefs such as: Braden Wages of Malai Kitchen in Dallas, Texas, Michael Gulotta of MoPho in New Orleans, Louisiana, Kevin Gillespie of Gunshow and Revival in Atlanta, Georgia, and Phil McDonald of Bud + Alley’s Pizza Bar in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Tickets are available now.

The Food Film Festival™ will kick off the weekend on Friday, April 8 with a VIP and welcome party “A Taste of What’s to Come” where you will get to mingle with the chefs and filmmakers over cocktails and appetizers.

A Southern Culinary + Spirits Experience will kick off on Saturday afternoon, where you can try southern inspired dishes prepared with the best food, craft beers and local spirits the area has to offer.
Indulge your senses Saturday night with exclusive screenings of a dozen short films accompanied by dishes and cocktails based on the films

The weekend wraps up on April 10 with “a one-of-a-kind” brunch where guests are served classic American brunch items.

The Food Film Festival™ is currently showcased in New York, Chicago and Charleston, and we believe that it will continue to grow and bring more national chefs (not just to the Emerald Coast but the worldwide) and filmmakers who collaborate together this festival by treating the guests with multiple mouth-watering food films, and then serving the featured food for a multi-sensory, full- body experience, right in their seat.
