Emerald Coast is a perfect place for “Honeymooners” or “Newly Weds”

Newly Weds on Beach

The perfect wedding deserves the perfect honeymoon. There is no better place to take your first vacation as newlyweds than the Emerald Coast! To help you make the most of your romantic getaway, we’ve put together these tips for couples staying with My Vacation Haven along the Emerald Coast.

The Heart of Florida’s Emerald Coast is a great place for honeymooners as we mentioned above. Not only is it a romantic spot for couples – it’s also fun! You can take the plunge together by going parasailing. You can go sailing together on the emerald-green water. Or you can just spread out your “his and hers” beach towels and soak in the sun. It’s your honeymoon. Do it your way.

  1. Take lots of photos.
Although the honeymoon is a time for you and your significant other, your family and friends would love to see where you decided to take a vacation and the things you did. Photos are the perfect way to share your experience with folks back home and create everlasting memories for just the two of you. We would highly recommend to check out Jubilee Photography Portraits ($25 OFF Any Session Fee). Jubilee Photography covers the areas along the beautiful Emerald Coast of Florida. Their philosophy is to make professional beach photos available to couples or families through reasonable pricing and NO SITTING OR SESSION FEES! Click here for more info.
  2. Explore the area.
While you are on your honeymoon, venture out along the Emerald Coast and see everything this area has to offer. Spend a romantic night in the HarborWalk Village or just enjoy the calming and soothing sounds of the ocean at the Henderson Park Inn’s private beach.
  3. Dine out at gulf-front restaurants.
When you are ready to enjoy a gourmet meal, enjoy dinner at our onsite gulf-front restaurants. Offering a wonderful selection from the land and sea, you and your significant other will leave the restaurant with a full and satisfied stomach.
  4. Sample wines together at BeachWalk Café.
Enjoy a nice, calm sea breeze while tasting some of the finest wines. We would recommend to visit Henderson Park Inn or Beach Walk Cafe. Enjoy white wines by the glass, red wine, imported wines and champagne.
  5. Schedule time to just relax.
When you have taken in the lovely sea-salt air and enjoyed the breathtaking views, you can rest peacefully in your luxurious condo. Our company offers over 140 vacation rentals to pick from, amazing service, great discounts, and so much more! One of the best ways to relax is to go on Spa Day Date. The Couples Massage at the resort’s world-class Serenity by the sea Spa at Hilton, offered in a specially designed private room for side-by-side massages, is popular with honeymooners. But so are the relaxing and indulgent side-by-side spa pedicures (for the men, you can skip the polish). Customize your own spa day, together.
  6. Intimate Dining: There are plenty of options for a romantic dinner and a moonlit stroll along the beach, a romantic activity that everyone should try at least once! We recommend going to Camille’s which is across the street from a public access beach, so you can go for a stroll afterwards. Ask for a table on the balcony if the weather is nice. The warm breeze and rustle of the palm trees is a perfect compliment to the laid-back atmosphere. Or, you can check out Emerald Coast’s only AAA Four-Diamond restaurant, Seagar’s Prime Steaks & Seafood Restaurant which is located only a few steps away from our homes. This renowned New York style steakhouse with an award-winning, 600-label wine list offers private dining options, including a private table-for-two in the Wine Room, where couples can dine in seclusion, surrounded only by Seagar’s fine wines.
  7. Romantic Adventures: Honeymooners sure value their restful beach days at the resort. But some also enjoy getting the adrenaline pumping – together. Turn your trip into an adventure story: bungee jump or race go-karts at the nearby. Here is a small list of activities you can do with your spouse along the Emerald Coast.

* Track Family Recreation Center or scuba dive at the area’s clean and clear Vortex Spring. Across from the resort, at Adventure Zone, the two of you can soar across a lagoon on a zip line and push your limits on the ropes course.
* Horseback Trail Rides. Trail riding on the Panhandle of Florida doesn’t get any better. Located close to the Destin beaches, this stable offers trail rides and RV space. With 13,800 acres of State Forest, there is plenty of riding to fill up your day.
*Souvenir Painting Classes At The Destin Harbor. The Painting Vine is the place to bring you and your spouse to enjoy a glass of wine and create a lasting Destin memory to take with you back home. These talented artists want to bring out the inner artist in everyone. Grab your spouse and enjoy a glass of wine from their full wine bar while having an experience of a lifetime.

  1. Beach Helicopter Wedding & Vow Renewal Tour
Make your special day memorable by saying “I Do” several hundred feet in the air flying above the world’s most beautiful beaches. Included in this tour is a licensed wedding officiant that will put together your ceremony and vows. Just show up with your significant other and leave the rest to them. Click here for more info.
  1. Sunset Dolphin Cruise is a perfect ending for your day!
Have a light snack at Louisiana Lagniappe or the Marina Café, which both overlook the scenic Destin Harbor, and then sail off into the sunset by boat on a private sunset cruise. The romantic and private setting of the boat has proven to be the perfect place to propose, should you be so inclined. On your way to the harbor, you will cruise into the sunset, discover our area’s sea life and learn about the natural beauty and history of our Emerald Coast. The Solaris is 125 feet long with three full decks. The main deck is where you will find the indoor dining room. The second deck is home to the indoor bar and lounge area with outdoor seating in the rear. The third deck is the 100% outdoors and is where you’ll find the sky deck with tables and chairs. All three decks offer 360 degree panoramic views. Your meal will be prepared on board by the executive chef and his team. The ship also has a large fully-stocked bar and lounge on the 2nd deck. Weddings on the Solaris have increased dramatically; this venue really is an ideal place to host a wedding: it is unique, classy and top notch. The Solaris even offers a bridal suite dressing room for the bride.
