WALTON COUNTY — Beaches from Miramar Beach access point eastward to the east end of Topsail State Park are open to the public for swimming.
According to an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s press release, the health department has rescinded their health advisory after two consecutive high tides have shown no oil sheen or oil slick.
Officials observed in the water from the high water mark out to 100 yards from shore, the release said.
The waters will continue to be monitored for impacts from the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
